* legacy move — needs an Elite TM. Each list shows the top 100; scores are relative to the best of the list (100).
How the rankings work
- Every obtainable Pokémon is tested with every moveset it can learn — including Elite TM legacy moves (marked *) — and its best pairing is kept.
- DPS comes from optimally weaving fast and charged moves; TDO factors in bulk (how long it stays on the field); Score is the community-standard DPS³ × TDO blend, scaled to 100 for the best of each list.
- Shadow Pokémon get their +20% damage / −bulk trade; Megas and Primalsuse their boosted stats. Figures assume Level 50, perfect IVs, versus a neutral target — for a specific boss, pick the type it's weak to from the selector.
- Raw CP is a different question — a Pokémon can have a huge CP ceiling but no moves to use it. For that list, see the max CP rankings, then track what you've caught in the Living Dex tracker and snipe perfect versions with our 100% IV coordinates.
Raid Attackers FAQ
What is the best attacker in Pokémon GO?
Mega Mewtwo Y is the best raid attacker in Pokémon GO right now, dealing 28.3 DPS with Psycho Cut + Psystrike. The best attacker that doesn't need a Mega slot is Eternatus (Poison Jab + Dynamax Cannon), and the best Shadow investment is Shadow Mewtwo. Use the type selector above for the best counter to any specific raid boss — rankings update automatically from the live game data (updated 15 Jul 2026).
How are these attacker rankings calculated?
For every obtainable Pokémon — including Shadow and Mega/Primal variants — we test every fast + charged move pairing it can learn (Elite TM moves included) and keep the best one. DPS is cycle damage per second from optimally weaving fast and charged moves; TDO estimates total damage before fainting from the Pokémon's bulk; the score combines them (DPS³ × TDO — the community-standard weighting that rewards damage first but not glass cannons). Everything assumes Level 50, perfect IVs, versus a neutral target.
What do DPS, TDO and Score mean?
DPS is damage per second — how fast it melts a raid boss. TDO (total damage output) is how much damage it deals before fainting, so bulky attackers score higher. Score blends both, normalised to 100 for the best Pokémon of each list, and is what the rankings sort by.
Are Shadow Pokémon or Megas better for raids?
Megas top the charts, but you can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon at a time — the rest of your party should be Shadows and regular top attackers. Shadow Pokémon deal 20% more damage at the cost of taking more in return, which usually nets out as a big DPS win. Toggle either group off above to plan the non-Mega slots of your raid party.
What does the * on a move mean?
It marks a legacy move that the Pokémon can no longer learn normally — you need an Elite Fast TM or Elite Charged TM (or to have caught it during the right event). If you'd rather not spend an Elite TM, check the next entry of that type for a non-legacy alternative.
Do I need perfect IVs for these numbers?
The figures assume a 15-attack IV at Level 50, so a worse catch lands slightly lower — attack IV matters most for hitting damage breakpoints. Catching a 100% IV version first is the cleanest route, which is exactly what our live 100% IV coordinates feed is for.
