How to Catch Shiny Pokémon Using Coordinates

Shiny Pokémon are ~1-in-500 in the wild. Here's how to use live shiny coordinate feeds to find and catch them fast in Pokémon GO.

1 June 2026 · 3 min read

Wild shinies appear at roughly a 1-in-500 rate, so grinding for them is brutal. A shiny coordinate feed flips that: when someone, somewhere, spots a confirmed shiny, you get the coordinate and can teleport to it.

1. Know your shiny rates

Most wild species sit near 1/500; community days, raids and events boost specific Pokémon far higher. During those windows a coordinate feed is especially powerful because confirmed shinies are pouring in.

2. Use the shiny channels

PokeXperience posts confirmed shiny coordinates in dedicated channels and via custom DM alerts — filter by species so you're only pinged for the shinies you actually want.

3. Teleport and catch

Tap a coordinate to jump to the spawn using the one-tap install (no PC, no jailbreak), then catch it like normal. Mind your cooldown between long teleports to avoid soft-bans.

FAQ

Are shiny coordinates real-time?
Yes — confirmed shiny spawns are posted the moment they're detected. Shinies despawn on the normal spawn timer, so the faster you teleport, the better your odds of catching it in time.
